You’ll be able to use them on any kind of housework and they will save you from popular mistakes that could jeopardize your rating.

The following Dos are to be considered if you want to get a good grade in your homework. Already in advance: You should always do your formatting beforehand, otherwise everything could shift and you can not calculate the number of pages.
Learn to write better
If you know that you have to do some homework while studying, you should definitely learn to write better. Writing routine is essential if you want to accelerate the writing process. In addition, you expand your vocabulary in parallel and you will have fewer problems with finding synonyms. In particular, scientific writing makes it difficult for students to formulate freely and stay in the flow of writing. Everything has to be thought through carefully and explained with technical terms. Take advantage of the phases in which you can write without a break. Interruptions are already preprogrammed due to the source references. Read either after each completed chapter correction or at the very end. If you want to improve your chances of getting a good grade, you should also let friends or family members read about your homework – provided they are familiar with grammar and spelling.
Writing one of the biggest no-gos when doing housework is the building block principle. Many students tend to write quotes and spontaneous ideas under the appropriate chapters during the literature search rather than proceeding and formulating them step by step. This is problematic in that it costs you a lot of time. If you’ve written down all sorts of quotes and unfinished phrases, all you have left at the end is a big, confusing kit that you have to put together somehow.
The kit can not only cost you an awful lot of time, it also costs a lot of patience and nerves. But worst of all, you’ll have to erase a lot of things and risk permanently deviating from the subject because you’re constantly finding quotes or important terms that might still be useful. So you lose the overview, the red thread and the guarantee on a good note.
Sooner or later it happens to everyone once: the double space. It happens accidentally and needs a trained eye to discover it. Meticulous lecturers are double-spaced and a thorn in the side and if you discover too many of them, it may happen that grades are deducted.

Dubious Internet sources
Some old-school teachers still have not quite come to terms with Internet sources in chores. They quickly stamp them as frivolous and may get the impression that you did not want to bother going to the library. If you want to play it safe, ask your instructor beforehand how it relates to Internet sources.
It is also fine if you use only reputable and trustworthy sources. These include, for example, articles in newspapers or scientific essays that you can only find online. If your degree program is a bit more modern or deals with different media, Internet sources are inevitable anyway.
To go beyond the scope
If you realize that you have misjudged the scope of your work and you do not get along with the number of pages or words you should contact your instructor. Some have no problem correcting a few more pages, the others can deduct a few points. In any case, exceeding the given page number should be reasonable and comprehensible. Allow yourself enough time to plan your chores and eventually make cuts.
Bad time management
Bad time management can ruin all your housework. Your work may still be so good – if you can not finish it at the end, you will not get a good grade. It is probably the most common problem of the students: no buffer. They plan very tightly and precisely, but if something goes wrong, the whole timetable is over and the work is endangered. The stress then only causes more things to go wrong.
Especially at the end, there are suddenly problems that you would not have expected. Either the formatting has been postponed or you have written too much, suddenly a chapter or even literature is missing. In such cases, which come sooner or later, it is worthwhile to have a buffer. To be ready with the text a week before submission would be ideal. For those who have less self-discipline, two days should be enough.
